Description

M 106 (also known as NGC 4258) is a spiral galaxy visible in the constellation Cani Ventici; it seems that its interior hosts a supermassive black hole. NGC 4217 is an edge-on spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years (18 million parsecs) in the constellation Canes Venatici  I've always been fascinated by this portion of the sky where with the right focus you can capture these two beautiful galaxies .... and it drives me crazy especially the part of NGC 4217 (the galaxy below) which is flanked by a small group of colored stars....
